We are seeking a reliable and organized Plumbing Project Engineer to assist with the successful execution of plumbing construction projects in the Fort Worth, Texas area. This role plays a key part in supporting project administration, scheduling, documentation management, field coordination, and communication between office personnel and onsite teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities within a dynamic commercial construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and tracking of project submittals, approvals, and construction documentation.
- Maintain and update RFI logs while ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
- Support drawing revisions and distribute updated plans and project documents to internal and field teams.
- Organize and maintain project records, files, and documentation for field operations.
- Assist with quality control procedures and safety documentation requirements.
- Coordinate material procurement activities, delivery timelines, and backorder management.
- Provide administrative and operational support to Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams.
- Review project schedules and assist with project coordination efforts to support milestone completion.
- Maintain documentation related to Change Orders, T&M work tickets, and field-issued revisions.
- Support payroll processing, weekly reporting requirements, and general project administration functions.
- Manage project information through Procore, ShareFile, Egnyte, and Microsoft Office platforms.
- Monitor punch list completion, testing documentation, and closeout deliverables.
- Coordinate communication among subcontractors, suppliers, contractors, and field personnel.
Qualifications & Skills
- Working knowledge of construction project coordination and administrative procedures.
- Experience handling submittals, RFIs, schedules, and project documentation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Familiarity with commercial plumbing construction projects and industry practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and document management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience supporting commercial construction, plumbing, or mechanical contracting projects is preferred.
- Experience assisting project management teams or field operations personnel is advantageous.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are beneficial but not required.
