Job title: Veterinary Assistant
Position: Full-time
Easley Animal Hospital is a privately owned small animal practice located near downtown Easley. We are seeking to hire an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. The main duty of this full-time position is being on the floor assisting with patient appointments.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 1 year experience as Veterinary Assistant
Ideal candidate should possess the following traits:

· Ability to follow instructions, both written and oral
· Time management
· Good communication and documentation skills
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and handle pets of various sizes safely
Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
· Receiving and discharging patients
· Assisting in exam rooms, including collecting patient history and vital signs
· Comforting and restraining pets as needed
· Administering medication and treatment as directed
· Educating clients
· Collecting blood, urine, and fecal samples
· Running lab work, both in-house and to the reference lab
· Taking radiographs
· Participating in general hospital cleanliness
· Sharing in occasional kennel duties
A minimum of 1 year experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required. Salary is directly related to experience and performance.
