Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Field Generator Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting power generation equipment in the field. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on portable and stationary generators in the field.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and fuel system issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures through electrical diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and mechanical assessments.
- Conduct engine repairs focusing on diesel engines, including overhaul, replacement of parts, and system calibration.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other mechanical tools to repair or modify equipment as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation of all repairs performed in compliance with company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during every visit.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician within dealership or automotive repair environments. Training provided for motivated and qualified employees.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of power generation systems, engines (especially diesel), and electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown service
- Inspect and service Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) up to 3-phase/480 Volts and generators
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, welding, soldering, and small engine maintenance.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and manual handling safety protocols for equipment installation or repair tasks.
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver prompt solutions in the field.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel frequently for on-site service calls.

Pay: $27.47 - $35.00 per hour
