Our client, a highly reputable civil contractor in the Greater Phoenix area, is seeking a skilled Superintendent to lead the construction of parks, recreational facilities, sports fields, and open spaces. Qualifications
· 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in parks, sports fields, or recreational construction
· Proven ability to manage multimillion-dollar site development or public works projects
· Strong understanding of earthwork, utilities, irrigation, landscaping, lighting, and synthetic/natural turf systems
· Proficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
· Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously and drive results
Responsibilities
· Oversee the full project lifecycle for parks, sports fields, and open space development projects
· Manage project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
· Coordinate with public agencies, municipalities, and private clients to ensure compliance with specifications and expectations
· Review and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical documents
· Assist with change orders, and cost controls
· Ensure timely communication with stakeholders and internal teams
· Promote a strong safety culture and enforce site safety standards
