Primary Care Administrator

Position Summary
The Primary Care Administrator is responsible for leading the integration of newly acquired primary care practices and overseeing the ongoing operational performance of assigned locations. This role partners with executive leadership to standardize workflows, optimize financial and operational performance, improve patient access, and ensure successful post-acquisition integration while maintaining high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will be based in or within close proximity to Westchester County, New York, as this position will require frequent travel throughout Westchester County and to other New York locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational integration of newly acquired primary care practices, including workflow standardization, EMR implementation, staffing, and change management.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned practices, ensuring efficient, patient-centered operations.
- Manage staff and support leadership development, staffing, and performance management.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage to monthly budgets and financial targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve practice efficiency, patient access, productivity, and overall financial performance.
- Develop and implement standardized workflows and operational processes across assigned locations.
- Support successful transition and adoption of organizational systems, policies, procedures, and technology.
- Conduct regular site visits and provide hands-on operational support to assigned practices.
- Partner with Revenue Cycle, Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, and Clinical Leadership to support organizational initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Monitor staffing levels and identify recruitment, retention, and performance needs.
- Support physicians and practice leadership in addressing operational challenges and improving practice performance.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, healthcare, and organizational policies.
- Monitor patient experience and identify opportunities to improve access, scheduling, and overall service.
- Prepare and communicate operational updates, performance metrics, and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Participate in acquisition due diligence and assist with developing integration plans for newly acquired practices.
- Travel frequently to practices throughout Westchester County and other New York locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience, preferably in multi-site physician practices.
- Experience in an Article 28 facility preferred.
- Experience with physician practice acquisitions, integrations, and change management preferred.
- Strong leadership, financial management, project management, and performance improvement skills.
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs, staffing, and operational performance.
- Strong understanding of physician practice workflows and healthcare operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with executive and cross-functional leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through organizational change and operational transitions.
- Strong proficiency with EMR and healthcare technology systems.
Location & Travel
- Candidate should be based in Westchester County, NY, or within a reasonable commuting distance.
- This position requires frequent travel throughout Westchester County and to other New York practice locations.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel between multiple practice locations as needed.

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
