The Team -
Duke Capital Ventures (DCV) is a real estate company that provides investors with institutional grade investments including multi-tenant industrial, residential, and mixed-use projects. The DCV Asset Management Team oversees and impacts a growing portfolio; To date, DCV and its affiliates have acquired over 100 buildings across 30+ different projects. The portfolio totals nearly 3,000,000 square feet in addition to 26 acres of industrial and mixed-use residential land.
Members of the team support the acquisition, development, operation, and disposition of these assets, reporting directly to the managing principal.
Role and Impact -
Duke Capital Ventures is seeking a detail oriented and mathematically proficient individual to serve as our underwriter on existing and new assets. This individual will be able to:
- Create detailed financial models to underwrite residential and commercial acquisitions and exits (Waterfalls, NOI, Debt Service, Equity Distribution, CapEx, etc.)
- Provide transactional due diligence support, including but not limited to, underwriting, working with lenders to obtain financing, analyzing capital expense budgets, reviewing lease and loan documents, assessing competitive positioning, etc.
- Asset analysis, due diligence, closing of acquisitions and dispositions and asset management of existing properties
- Coordinate with internal team and various engineering, architectural, and legal partners to compile strategic plan to expedite entitlement process
- Perform market research on regional economic factors to evaluate potential emerging markets for acquisitions
- Support internal operational activities
- Occasional travel to conduct site visits for potential acquisitions to assess property conditions
- Supervise and direct the performance of third-party vendors
- Support entitlement and construction process on current and newly acquired assets
- Collaborate with Asset Managers on asset forecasts and cash flow analyses
- Support the team with investor equity and preferred interest distributions
We are Looking for –
Required -
- Strong proficiency with financial modeling in Excel (VLOOKUP, IRR, PMT, etc.)
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Experience in management or acquisition of real estate assets
- Excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills
- Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment with regularly shifting priorities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Competence to manage $5-50 million development opportunities
- Ability to interface with lenders, legal professionals & high net worth clients
- Business and solution-oriented approach
- Resourceful and articulate
- Able to interface with strategic business partners including legal and tax professionals, investors, banks, lenders, and other third parties.
- Doesn’t accept the status quo, but rather continuously seeks ways to improve financial processes and drive operational efficiencies.
Encouraged -
- Degree in finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or related field
- 2+ years of acquisitions or asset management experience
- Experience with industrial / multifamily asset management
- Experience with mixed-use or SFR construction projects

This is an office-based position for Mountain View, CA. Salary is commensurate with experience and ranges from USD $95,000.00 – USD $140,000.00 (1099). The role is eligible for discretionary bonus(es). DCV operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy, and your total compensation may vary based on individual performance and prior experience.
