Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage service operations efficiently. The Service Advisor will coordinate between customers and our service technicians to ensure timely and accurate vehicle repairs, maintenance, and service recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle needs and concerns.
- Explain service procedures, estimates, and repair options clearly to customers.
- Write detailed service orders and estimates using automotive service management software.
- Upsell additional services or repairs based on customer needs and vehicle diagnostics.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, track progress, and ensure quality work completion.
- Manage vehicle drop-off and pick-up processes, including cash handling and payment processing.
- Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business.
- Stay informed about current automotive repair techniques, including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, alignments, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and other mechanical services.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Experience in auto estimating, service writing, and auto body repair is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes including transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, suspensions, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, alignments, air brakes, and other mechanical repairs.
- Experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with service technician experience is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple customer accounts simultaneously.

Pay: $53,159.13 - $64,019.59 per year
