Our role is to represent our client’s needs in all aspects of buying, selling, owning, leasing, managing and maintaining their commercial real estate assets and/or investments.
DESCRIPTION:
The HVAC Tech will be part of the CPI Building Services team.
JOB DUTIES:
- Work on heating, ventilating, refrigeration, swamp cooler, and air conditioning units
- Perform preventative maintenance, routine servicing, filter changes & coil cleaning
- Diagnose outages, defects and troubleshoot performance issues
- Determine whether a simple repair or full replacement is necessary
- Perform repairs, or install/replace units
- Install individual parts (pumps, pipes, fans, pads, belts, compressors, fuses, evaporators, etc.)
- Diagnose and perform interior repairs related to air balancing, ducts, returns and registers
- Repair, Replace, Install and program thermostats and sensors
REQUIREMENTS/TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- HVAC technician certificate and min. of 2 years of practical HVAC technician experience required
- EPA 608 Technician Type II Certification or above required
- HVAC apprenticeship and/or additional industry competence certifications are a plus
- North American Technical Excellence (NATE) Certification is a plus
- Installation and troubleshooting skills for heating and cooling systems
- Finding and fixing the source of a problem
- Finding or altering replacement parts
- Familiar with using airflow meters, humidity recorders, voltmeters and ohmmeters
- Knowledge of electrical fundamentals, including basic wiring skills and typical circuitry
- Understand schematics and common blueprints
- Know how to property connect an HVAC system to supply lines, electrical wiring, & air ducts
- Complete understanding of how the entire heating and air-conditioning systems function
- Using power tools safely
- Awareness of various safety hazards and follow industry safety methods
- Detailed record keeping of each visit, the work performed and equipment used
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more and can climb ladders/heights
- Poses strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly and directly
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License and Good driving record
- Pass drug/alcohol test and background check

- Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
- On call rotation on weekends
