This is an entry level position that offers wide exposure to design, manufacturing and project management of custom furniture projects. On a daily basis we are working on all kinds of custom builds from conference tables to receptions desks to cabinets to display stands and everything in between. You will provide engineering support for all phases of our manufacturing process. This is a great opportunity to establish your career. We are a very small shop and you will get your hands dirty from time to time. We are looking for someone that has a strong interest in furniture and also a friendly easy-going personality that can quickly establish rapport with our clients.
Responsibilities
· Create and edit product drawings to support design team.
- Create shop drawings, cut lists and setup diagrams for manufacturing.
· Develop bill of materials and order materials as needed.
· Work closely with designers and production team to resolve discrepancies and complete projects.
- Create and manage the production schedule.
- Become knowledgeable on all shop equipment, processes and capabilities.
Skills
· Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp or other design programs.
· Creative, talent, imagination and eye for design.
· Communication and presentation skills.
· BS degree in Engineering/Architecture/Industrial Design or similar.
