The ideal candidate is fast, efficient, and able to produce a quality product in a timely manner while maintaining proper equipment and food safety procedures. Cook candidates also understand company costs and insure proper recipe adherence. Always follows proper health code requirements, food rotation, labeling and sanitation practices.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Demonstrated full service restaurant cooking experience.
Able to follow written recipes and order tickets.
Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress.
Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Current knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.
Familiar with industry’s best practices.
Ability to work on your feet for 8 or more hours a day.
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis.
