Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to support our clinical operations. This is an on-site position that requires regular travel to multiple clinic locations throughout various Bay Area and Central California clinic locations. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be comfortable commuting between sites. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and committed to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
This role will begin with a paid training period (schedule TBD based on training staff availability) and may transition into a 2–5 day work week depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Travel to designated clinic locations as part of weekly schedule; must be dependable and flexible with commute
- Record patient vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, pain level) and verify patient identity
- Prepare intake documentation and lien paperwork prior to appointments
- Update charts with patient info, treatment plans, and follow-up notes; pre-chart ahead of scheduled visits
- Maintain cleanliness, readiness, and supply organization at satellite office locations
- Schedule and confirm appointments in coordination with front desk staff
- Serve as a liaison between patients and legal offices; relay inquiries and ensure appropriate follow-up
- Send clinical documentation (progress notes, billing info, referrals, MRI orders) to attorneys and referring providers
- Assist physician during procedures such as IV setups and injections (preparing materials, not administering)
- Prepare syringes for nerve blocks and IV materials in advance of appointments
- Monitor and maintain inventory of essential medical supplies (e.g., syringes, IV bags, gauze, catheters)
Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
- Active Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent phlebotomy certification/license preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Must have dependable transportation and willingness to commute regularly to various clinic sites (Modesto, Walnut Creek & San Jose)
