Duties
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized and accessible for customers
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Handle cash register operations including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and processing returns or exchanges
- Maintain a clean and inviting store environment through merchandising, product displays, and inventory management
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Support inventory management by conducting stock counts, receiving shipments, and organizing stockroom areas
Experience
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team members or training new staff
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math ensures smooth transaction handling
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are an advantage for serving diverse customers
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices
- Experience with product demos and upselling strategies to boost sales performance
- Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally when assisting customers over the phone
