Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. Your hands-on contributions will help bring construction plans to life, from foundational work to finishing touches. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in various construction disciplines while working on diverse projects that make a real impact.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including site cleanup, material staging, and setting up safety barriers in compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks such as moving materials, equipment, and tools around the site.
- Support carpenters with framing, formwork construction, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing to ensure accurate and sturdy structures.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like concrete mixing, cutting rebar, concrete pouring, and concrete finishing.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans and specifications.
- Assist with masonry work including stucco application, bricklaying, and restoration projects as needed.
- Support concrete work such as concrete cutting, concrete pumping, rebar installation, formwork setup, and finishing surfaces to achieve smooth finishes.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe environment for everyone on site.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related trade environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and familiarity with blueprint specification interpretation are advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with heavy machinery such as concrete mixers and other power tools is a plus.
- Understanding of construction safety protocols and ability to adhere strictly to safety guidelines is essential.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems related to construction equipment or plumbing is beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods is necessary.
- Previous involvement in renovation or restoration projects will be considered an asset.

Pay: $23.50 - $28.31 per hour
