Overview
Tallahassee Pulmonary Clinic, one of the largest and most successful single specialty pulmonary groups in the southeast, seeks a full-time BE/BC Pulmonologist to join their 12-physician member group. The physicians at Tallahassee Pulmonary enjoy an excellent balance between work and personal life. The position offers a good mixture of outpatient and inpatient practice in pulmonary and critical care but is also an excellent opportunity for an applicant who has additional fellowship training in sleep.
This group practices all aspects of pulmonary care, and the outpatient practice has an 18,000 sq ft office with a fully functioning PFT lab on site. State of the art robotics assisted navigational bronchoscopy with cone beam CT allows the physicians to sample small nodules and participate in a thriving thoracic oncology program. The group also serves as the administrator of an AASM-accredited 12-bed sleep center where over 2000 studies are done annually.
In addition to outpatient services, the physicians serve as the lead group for the hospital intensivist program and assist with directing respiratory and the intensive care units at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. The busy 48 bed ICU service has capability for patients requiring advanced cardiopulmonary care such as Impella devices, ECMO, and mechanical thrombectomy for PE. The physicians enjoy a friendly and collaborative work environment with the cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and trauma surgeons in the ICU. Tallahassee Pulmonary Clinic physicians also play a large and active role in hospital performance improvement by serving on improvement and executive committees.
