Position Summary
The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating learning programs that improve employee performance, leadership capability, service excellence, and organizational culture. This position partners with leaders across the organization to identify training needs, develop engaging learning experiences, coordinate onboarding, and ensure employees have the knowledge and skills needed to provide exceptional member service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Training & Development
Design and facilitate engaging instructor-led and virtual training programs.
Develop curriculum, participant guides, job aids, videos, and e-learning content.
Conduct organizational training needs assessments.
Coordinate annual training calendars.
Evaluate training effectiveness using participant feedback and performance outcomes.
Maintain training records and learning documentation.
New Hire Onboarding
Coordinate corporate orientation for all new employees.
Ensure completion of onboarding checklists.
Introduce organizational culture, mission, values, and service standards.
Partner with department leaders on role-specific onboarding plans.
Continuously improve the new hire experience.
Leadership Development
Assist in developing leadership training for supervisors and managers.
Facilitate workshops on coaching, accountability, communication, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
Support succession planning initiatives.
Organizational Development
Promote a culture of continuous learning.
Recommend new learning resources and development opportunities.
Assist with employee engagement initiatives.
Support performance management processes through coaching and training.
Compliance Training
Coordinate required regulatory and compliance training.
Monitor completion rates.
Maintain documentation for audits.
Partner with Compliance and HR to update training materials.
Learning Management
Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS).
Track employee completion and certifications.
Generate reports for leadership.
Upload and organize learning content.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience
3–5 years of corporate training experience.
Experience facilitating classroom and virtual instruction.
Experience developing instructional materials.
Financial institution or credit union experience preferred.
Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred.

Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Strong instructional design abilities.
Ability to engage adult learners.
Exceptional written and verbal communication.
Strong project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PowerPoint.
Experience with Canva, Articulate, Camtasia, or similar instructional design software is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Strong relationship-building and coaching skills.

Success Measures
Within the first 6 months, the successful candidate will:
Develop and maintain an annual enterprise training calendar.
Launch a standardized onboarding program.
Achieve at least a 95% completion rate for required training.
Improve employee onboarding satisfaction scores.
Deliver quarterly leadership development workshops.
Partner with department leaders to identify and address skill gaps.
Measure training effectiveness using participant feedback and performance metrics.
Pay: $33.00 - $39.00 per hour
