Startup Technician – Building Automation Systems
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Startup Technician to support commissioning and startup of HVAC and building automation systems. This role focuses on system testing, troubleshooting, and client coordination to ensure systems operate according to design and performance expectations. Experience with Automated Logic is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform startup, commissioning, and testing of HVAC and BAS systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues
- Execute and verify sequences of operation
- Conduct point-to-point (I/O) testing and system validation
- Interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
- Coordinate onsite with clients, engineers, and contractors
- Document startup activities, issues, and resolutions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of HVAC, controls, or commissioning experience
- Working knowledge of building automation systems (ALC experience preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and control schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Preferred
- Experience with BACnet or other BAS protocols
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and tools
- HVAC or technical certification

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
