Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook lunch, and dinner according to planned menus.
- Ensure meals are served on time and meet quality and presentation standards.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs.
- Accommodate resident dietary restrictions and special meal requests.
- Work as part of a team to provide an excellent dining experience for residents.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or senior living environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with seniors.
- Food Handler or ServSafe certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
