Join our team as a Pet Bather/Grooming Apprentice! This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service while working in a lively, supportive environment. This role allows you to grow professionally while making a positive impact on pets and their owners. No prior grooming experience is necessary—just a love for animals and a desire to learn!
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced groomers with bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and basic grooming tasks for various pets.
- Handle animals safely and gently, ensuring proper restraint and comfort during grooming procedures.
- Support the grooming team by preparing tools, cleaning work areas, and maintaining equipment hygiene.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency for both staff and animals.
- Support pet care activities such as feeding, walking, or supervising pets in kennels when needed.
Qualifications
- Genuine love for animals with a strong interest in pet grooming and animal care.
- Reliable, responsible, and eager to grow within the pet care industry.
- Prior experience with dog handling, veterinary assistance, or kennel work is a plus but NOT required; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for equipment or animal transport.
Salon Hours
Tuesday-Saturday
9:00AM-5:00PM
Part-time positions are also available.
Pay is hourly plus tips. Hourly base pay is determined by experience with many opportunities for growth and raises.
