We are currently accepting applications for a Production Cook Lead in our Kitchen!
A Production Cook Lead oversees daily kitchen food preparation, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency while cooking, mentoring staff, managing inventory, and maintaining recipe standards. They often act as a working supervisor, handling complex cooking tasks, scheduling staff, and implementing safety procedures. Key duties include directing station setup, ordering, training staff, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Trains and guides staff on job duties, standard food safety and sanitation procedures, cooking methods, etc.
- Cooks and prepares food following production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Ordering and maintain food production areas and storage.
- Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Safely uses all food utensils including knives
- Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meats, vegetables, and other foods
- Arranges, garnishes, and portions food following established guidelines
- Properly stores food by following food safety policies and procedures
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintains excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience cooking - Hotel or Senior Living experience is a plus
- Food Handler Serv safe certificate
Salary and Schedule
- Up to $27.00 per hour
- Wednesday - Sunday, 9:45am-6:45pm
- Offer of employment is contingent upon successful fingerprint clearance through Department of Justice, background check, physical exam, TB, drug screen and other prehire screenings. Covid 19 vaccination preferred, not required.
