Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled home daily Inermodal Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including dump trucks, tankers, and tractor-trailers. Duties
- Deliver Merchandise to Businesses, Yard, & Port driving responsibilities by following predetermined routes and schedules.
- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is an asset.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is beneficial.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience in freight transportation or logistics will be considered an advantage.
