The Restaurant Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of the restaurant. They provides leadership for all aspects of the restaurant’s operations with an emphasis on staffing, culinary excellence, customer service, fiscal responsibility, and more. The restaurant manager supports the restaurant’s General Manager, managing labor, controlling costs and supervising restaurant staff performance. This position is required to work on average 45 hours a week, ideally two days off a week, has a flexible schedule and must be available days, evenings, weekends and holidays. This position is exempt and FT.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supports and assist the General Manager.
· Manages and processes invoices.
· Coordinates communication between front and back of house.
· Prepares shift meetings and ensures staff is aware of housekeeping notes, specials and important reservations.
· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
· Support for all restaurant staff.
· Supervises staff and handles concerns promptly and objectively.
· Logs detailed notes on the shift and ensures communication is consistent.
· Communicates all repair and maintenance issues in 7Shifts.
· Arrange for new hires schedule and training.
· Supports in discipline and termination of employees in accordance with restaurant policy.
· Motivates, trains and engages the team.
· Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
· Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
· Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage law and regulations.
· Understands and supports the food and beverage budget and COGS goals.
· Ensuring proper purchasing guidelines are followed.
· Conducts daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
· Maintains sales records and tracks cash receipts.
· Serves as the companies and unit’s representative to employees, customers, the government, and the public.
· Performs other related duties to benefit the organization.
· Build strong working relationships with supervisor, co-workers and management by providing exemplary customer service.
· Correspond and interact with others in a professional and timely manner.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
· Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Strong communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate as a leader.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Bachelor in Business Management preferred.
· Previous restaurant and management experience required.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills, including excel and power point.
· Comfortable to present and speak in front of groups and leadership.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 35 pounds at times.
