Experienced Equipment Operator – Class A CDL Preferred

About the Position
Dynamic EVC is an electrical and civil contractor specializing in the construction of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced equipment operator (preferably with a Class A CDL) driver to join our civil construction team.
This is not an entry-level or operator-training position. The right candidate must be capable of safely and independently operating equipment in active construction environments, including congested utility corridors.
Our projects are based in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Kansas, Iowa and throughout our operating region. Travel and overnight stays are required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely operate mini excavators, compact track loaders, skid steers, and related equipment
- Excavate and backfill trenches for electrical conduit and underground utilities
- Work safely around existing gas, electric, water, communication, and other underground utilities
- Excavate and prepare sites for equipment foundations and concrete pads
- Perform grading, stone placement, compaction, and site restoration
- Read and follow construction drawings, site plans, elevations, and equipment layouts
- Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials using company trucks and trailers
- Perform daily equipment inspections, greasing, fluid checks, and basic preventive maintenance
- Coordinate with foremen and crew members to complete work safely and efficiently
- Assist with hand digging, concrete forming, concrete placement, raking, cleanup, and other civil construction tasks when needed
- Follow company safety policies, DOT requirements, and jobsite procedures
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional experience operating mini excavators and compact track loaders
- Experience performing utility excavation and trenching around existing underground utilities
- Ability to load, secure, transport, and unload construction equipment
- Ability to read and understand site plans and construction drawings
- Knowledge of safe trenching, excavation, grading, and backfilling practices
- Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
- Ability to pass applicable pre-employment and DOT drug-screening requirements
- Ability to perform physical construction work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time
- Ability to reliably report to our Nixa, Missouri location
Strongly Preferred
- Valid Class A CDL
- Three or more years of utility or civil construction experience
- Experience installing underground electrical conduit
- Experience with concrete pad and equipment-foundation preparation
- Experience working on commercial electrical, utility, or EV-charging projects
- Knowledge of OSHA excavation and trench-safety requirements
- Experience towing construction equipment with a truck and trailer
