The Assistant Manager is an immensely important part of the team. It is imperative that we create an inviting, clean atmosphere that attracts the customer through the door. You must be able to engage with the customer, understand their needs, relate our services to meet their needs, and exceed customer expectations. Assistant managers are also expected to understand the financial metrics and strategies that create a successful store. We strive to be the best in the industry and we want to fill our team with enthusiastic, entrepreneurial individuals.
Qualifications:
- Retail sales experience in a competitive environment with a guest-oriented role.
- Proactive mindset, can-do attitude, self-starter, outgoing, passionate.
- Ability to perform light to moderate physical activity: including facility maintenance, cleaning, and lifting up to 40lbs unassisted.
- At least one year in a sales/customer service role.
- Valid Driver's license and dependable transportation.
- Positive outlook - creating a safe and inviting space for new guests!
- Ability to work a flexible schedule - 30 hours a week
Responsibilities:
- Work with team members to maximize sales goals and assist customers via the phone, web, or in person at the facility.
- Develop exceptional customer service. Welcome customers with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Lead your team and work with customers to define their needs, provide solutions that will add value to the customers experience with our company.
- Sell/upsell retail items, storage units, and rental vehicles.
- Spend time outside on the facility grounds managing the upkeep, curb appeal, and cleanliness to the highest standards. Cleaning, sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs, other general maintenance, and tours.
- Perform without constant oversight.
- Thrive in a team atmosphere.
- Some lifting required - occasionally up to 40lb unassisted
