We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Machine Assember to join our dynamic team. Wardwell is a manufacturing facility in Central Falls that is a leading international supplier of braiding machines and parts in the wire and cable industry.
The position is to receive on the job training and instructions in the safe operations involved in assembly, fabrication, associated machining, wiring, parts/product recognition, material handling, record keeping and quality systems and departmental/Company policies and procedures.
This position's primary function is to learn how to properly and proficiently perform basic setup & mechanical/wiring assembly, fabrication and related operations, to include basic trouble shooting and repair defective units. The Trainee learns how to operate a variety of hand & power assisted tools used to assemble, fabricate and test Wardwell parts/products.
Lifts/moves parts, components and finished assemblies weighing up to and including 50lbs onto and off work tables or floor/pallet. Although Assembly work is primarily performed in a seated or standing positions walking, bending crouching, squatting, kneeling, and reaching are required motions of the job. Utilizes repetitive hand & arm motions to simultaneously grasp, orient & transport parts for hand or power assisted assembly/fabrication. As required, operates power assisted machinery and /or fixtures to assemble /fabricate components.
