The Opportunity
We are looking for a Texas Licensed Service Electrician to join our Residential & Light Commercial Service team.
Applicants must hold either a current Texas Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician License.
This position is focused primarily on residential service work, rather than new construction or production wiring. You’ll work on scheduled service calls and electrical projects, diagnose problems, complete repairs and installations, communicate with homeowners, and ensure each job is completed safely and professionally.

What You’ll Be DoingElectrical Service & Installation
- Troubleshoot residential electrical systems and identify the source of electrical problems
- Install, repair, and service outlets, lighting, wiring, breakers, panels, and related equipment
- Perform electrical upgrades, replacements, repairs, and installations
- Use appropriate diagnostic and testing equipment to determine effective solutions
- Review and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical plans
- Identify opportunities for appropriate system improvements or equipment upgrades
Customer Service
- Complete scheduled residential service calls and electrical projects
- Clearly explain electrical issues, findings, and recommended solutions to customers
- Answer customer questions and explain equipment and system operation
- Maintain a professional, courteous presence throughout every customer interaction
- Complete accurate service notes, documentation, and job reports
Working With the Team
- Collaborate with apprentices, electricians, and other members of the service department
- Provide guidance and hands-on support to apprentices when needed
- Coordinate with homeowners, contractors, inspectors, project managers, and other team members
- Represent A Team Home Services professionally at every job and customer interaction
Safety & Jobsite Standards
- Follow applicable NEC and OSHA requirements along with company safety procedures
- Properly use PPE and follow lockout/tagout and other required safety practices
- Ensure completed work complies with applicable codes and company quality standards
- Keep vehicles, tools, equipment, inventory, and jobsites clean and organized
- Monitor materials and maintain accurate documentation

What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Current Texas Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician License
- Experience with residential electrical service and/or installation
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, applicable codes, and safe work practices
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned work efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively with apprentices and other team members
- Comfortable using computers and mobile technology
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and follow required safety procedures
Preferred:
- Microsoft Office experience
- OSHA 10 Construction certification
Compensation
We offer a compensation structure designed to support you while you learn our systems and transition into our commission-based model.
- First 90 Days: Guaranteed pay while training and ramping into commission
- Commission Earnings: $75,000–$120,000+ annual earning potential
- Sign-On & Retention Bonus: Up to $5,000, based on license type, experience, and qualifications
- Bonus payments are tied to established employment milestones and are subject to continued employment and the eligibility requirements outlined in the offer letter
