Position: Delivery Driver
Location: Spokane, WA (with routes throughout Central Washington, Eastern Washington, and North Idaho)
Job Summary:
As a Delivery Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products reach our clients efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for transporting merchandise from our main location in Spokane to various client locations. This role may occasionally require overnight deliveries, depending on route locations. Comprehensive training is provided, and no special licenses are required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute efficient delivery and pick-up routes.
- Load delivery vehicle with scheduled parcels.
- Deliver parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
- Pick up parcels along the route, including returns, company orders, and other requested items.
- Contact customers to confirm and verify delivery details.
- Establish and maintain outstanding customer relations.
- Review and verify invoices and purchase requests for accuracy.
- Maintain basic records of truck mileage and deliveries.
- Ensure delivery vehicle receives basic service as per maintenance schedule; report larger service needs to supervisor.
- Assist with general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong ability to drive safely.
- Proficient with navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and maps.
- Capable of planning efficient delivery routes.
- Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
- Competent in following instructions without constant supervision.
- Professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Education and Experience:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record (WA State DOL Motor Vehicle Report).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Capable of loading and unloading packages with and without dollies in various weather conditions.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
