Summary:
The Pharmacist shall be responsible for all activities allowed by the California State Board of Pharmacy. The individual can type, fill and counsel patients under the supervision of the pharmacy manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain highest quality of pharmaceutical care and services
- Keep abreast of new items, changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs through participation in continuing education courses and reviewing pharmacy-related literature
- The Pharmacist shall be responsible for a pharmacy's compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy
- Dispensing and maintaining proper inventory of controlled substances pursuant to all state and federal laws
- Proper ordering and maintenance of dangerous drugs or devices and supplies for the pharmacy
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, consistent with company standards, in dress, personal appearance and grooming
- Consult with clinic providers, administrators, and other personnel for the purpose of providing quality patient care and maximizing pharmacy performance
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- A pharmacist should maintain good company loyalty, set a good example, and project a healthy positive attitude
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Experience & Licensure:
- Have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited university
- Must be registered in California as a Pharmacist with the Board of Pharmacy.
- Must have clear pharmacist license without parole or pending investigations.
Skills & Requirements:
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to mentor entire pharmacy staff while fostering customer relations
- Able to administer immunizations
- High degree of initiative, self-starter, goal-oriented, and able to motivate individuals to achieve targeted results
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
