We have a current opening in our Production Control for a Material Handler & Box Truck Driver.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision this position is responsible for storing, retrieving, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment in the main facility and the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following is an outline of the basic duties and responsibilities of the position identified above. - Drive company box truck between facilities for storing or retrieving material or equipment as requested.
- Moves materials and equipment from storage areas to production or other designated areas using a forklift or pallet jack.
- Loads and unloads ovens.
- Maintains and organizes materials and equipment for easy identification using appropriate methods.
- May have to make pick-ups or deliveries.
- Keeps warehouse and work area organized at all times.
- Uses proper safety equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum
- High School Graduate (or GED)
- Forklift experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Clean driving record
- Prior experience driving Box Truck
Preferred
- One year of related experience and/or training.
- Plastics industry experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
Normal manufacturing environment requiring physical activity such as:
- may become dirty at times.
- some exposure to weather extremes.
