For our OnBoard Colombia office, we are looking for the following profile:
Position: OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Location: 11099 S LA CIENEGA BLVD, SUITE 275, LOS ANGELES, CA, 90045, USA.
Purpose:
Supervise the operations team to ensure compliance with ocean, ground, and air operations. Ensure compliance with the operational performance indicators required according to company policy, including Operational Excellence (Operational Audits) and Productivity. Maintain communication flow and continuous improvement initiatives with other departments.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations
- Experience in freight forwarding, ocean, air, and international cargo handling
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise local and international import/export logistics operations
- Ensure each team member fulfills their responsibilities
- Recruit, train, motivate, manage, and apply corrective actions when necessary to the operations team
- Supervise and audit export, import, and/or project processes on a monthly basis
- Review and follow up on daily operational reports
- Periodically review closing and billing procedures within the department
- Coordinate and resolve operational issues with clients, agents, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with current procedures for each product and identify improvement opportunities across departments
- Coordinate and supervise cargo loss control processes
- Prepare quotations for agents
- Supervise interoffice and supplier reconciliations
Required Education:
- University degree in International Trade or related fields (not mandatory)
