Job Summary:
About the Role
The primary responsibility of this position is to work as part of the Ingredient Room team to meet the daily production requirements for all areas of the department. Weigh, measure, prep, and package products accurately for production. Assist with vendor deliveries, rotate and store products correctly. Assist with weekly and monthly inventory processes.
What You'll Do

Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position.

Prepare recipe ingredients (salads, entrees and/or baked goods) for production recipes – 85%
Secure products;
Weigh or measure products according to recipe;
Package and label products;
Move products to proper storage or transportation area;
Clean and maintain equipment and workspaces. -
Provide Direction to Student Employees – 5%
Provide training and guidance to student employees in the production of food.
Ensure that student employees maintain standards of safety and sanitation in food handling. -
Paperwork – 5%
Maintain accurate records of recipes prepared each day;
Issue ingredients used to proper departments;
Assist with periodic inventory as assigned. -
Other duties as Assigned – 5%
Assist in other areas of the operation as necessary

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED;
-
ServSafe or similar food safety course certificate, or pass ServSafe course and exam within the first three months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous food service or related experience.

Strong math skills, including fraction and conversions with very high degree of accuracy;
