Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, electrical systems, and plumbing components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install new HVAC equipment, ensuring proper setup according to design specifications and building codes.
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to optimize efficiency and prevent future breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices.
- Conduct system inspections, identify issues with equipment troubleshooting, and implement effective repairs promptly.
- Maintain detailed service records and maintenance documentation for each job performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with all work completed.
- Adhere to safety protocols including EPA regulations for refrigerants and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Assist in building automation system adjustments to optimize environmental controls within commercial properties.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with a strong mechanical background.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building systems integration.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance across various types of equipment including air conditioning units, heat pumps, geo thermal and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and building automation controls.
- Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical systems using hand tools and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) standards and safety regulations including EPA certification requirements for refrigerant handling.
- Experience working with electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, appliance repair, property maintenance or field service roles is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to ensure client needs are met efficiently and professionally.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
