Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Dishwasher/Janitor, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests. This energetic position involves ensuring all kitchen and facility areas are spotless, organized, and hygienic, supporting the overall flow of food service operations. Employees will gradually learn food preparation techniques (knife skills, etc.) and success in the position will lead to promotion within the kitchen and an increased wage.
Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and availability for food preparation and service.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, and storage areas through regular sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
- Assist with food handling tasks as needed, supporting food prep while adhering to safety standards.
- Perform routine janitorial duties across the facility, including trash removal, restocking supplies, and deep cleaning of restrooms and common areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by following proper sanitation procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen staff and hospitality teams.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or special event days.
- Basic understanding of culinary processes such as food preparation or cooking is a plus.
- An acute attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment through diligent cleaning and organization.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
