Dog Daycare Attendant
Creative Dog Training’s Summit campus is looking for a caring, dependable Dog Daycare Attendant to help provide safe, structured, and enriching care for the dogs we serve.
This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with dogs, understands the importance of consistent care, and can thrive in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise playgroups and encourage safe, appropriate behavior.
- Maintain clean and sanitary play, rest, and common areas.
- Feed dogs and administer medications according to instructions.
- Provide basic bathing and grooming as needed.
- Exercise dogs and support their physical and mental enrichment.
- Assist trainers with obedience exercises and behavior reinforcement.
- Monitor dogs for signs of illness, stress, or distress.
Requirements
- Genuine care for dogs and a strong interest in animal welfare.
- Understanding of basic canine behavior and care.
- Previous experience in dog daycare, boarding, veterinary care, or a similar setting preferred.
- Ability to safely and compassionately handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
- Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and stay active throughout the day.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pet first aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of positive reinforcement training.
- Experience administering medications.
- Familiarity with breed characteristics and basic grooming.
