Job Summary
Simsbury Developers is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician (non-live-in / non-resident) to support day-to-day maintenance operations across our residential communities in Simsbury, CT. This role is responsible for completing work orders, supporting apartment unit turns, and assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure safe, well-maintained properties.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work orders in occupied and vacant apartments in a timely manner
- Support apartment unit turns, including painting, patching, replacing fixtures, and meeting turnover/cleaning standards
- Assist with preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry (based on experience)
- Maintain tools, supplies, and a clean/safe work environment
- Provide professional service and communication with residents and team members
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of residential maintenance experience
- Some knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry
- Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple work orders
- Unit turnover experience (painting, patching, replacing fixtures, cleaning standards)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
