Duties
- Greet customers warmly, assess their vehicle needs, and provide clear explanations of repair services and estimates
- Coordinate towing requests, dispatch tow trucks promptly, and communicate effectively with drivers and customers
- Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates, including auto estimating and service writing
- Maintain detailed records of all service transactions, and client communication
- Collaborate with technicians to diagnose vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and mechanical knowledge
- Manage customer inquiries professionally while promoting dealership services and fostering long-term client relationships
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in an auto service management role within a dealership or automotive repair shop
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Experience using estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and transparency
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; comfortable driving various vehicles including tow trucks when necessary
- Knowledge of automotive systems such as transmissions, air brakes, alignments, suspension components, tires, shocks & struts, brake systems
- Cash handling experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
