Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Production Machine Operator to operate and maintain Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating automated and manual production equipment, performing changeovers, monitoring product quality, and maintaining accurate production records while adhering to safety and ISO standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) machines
- Run automatic and manual manufacturing/process equipment
- Perform line changeovers accurately and efficiently
- Monitor product quality and complete quality control checks
- Handle raw materials, powders, liquids, and finished goods
- Print and apply manufacturing labels to products
- Record lot numbers, quantities, and production data accurately
- Assist with mixing and processing production ingredients
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and cleaning
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Follow OSHA, ISO, and company safety procedures
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred
- Experience operating VFFS equipment strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability required
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience with chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or comparable manufacturing environments is a plus
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well on a team
- Must be able to wear a respirator (FIT test required)
- Must be able to climb ladders and lift materials as needed
Preferred Skills
- Changeover and setup experience
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- OSHA and ISO compliance experience
- Equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Production documentation and inventory tracking
