Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while handling cash safely and responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and food handling
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed, ensuring food safety standards are met
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability in beverage service including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and food handling skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food preparation techniques
- Experience in bussing tables, host/hostess duties, cashiering, or guest relations is beneficial
- Hospitality background with a focus on guest satisfaction and team collaboration
