Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and clinical evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively and ensure client safety
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines
- Utilize in person or telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions, ensuring seamless patient care across various settings
- Maintain detailed clinical records and documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems in accordance with clinical documentation standards
Skills
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and PTSD care
- Proficiency in crisis management, behavior management, trauma-focused therapy, and medical terminology related to mental health treatment
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical research methodologies
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement
- Ability to adhere to clinical ethical guidelines while delivering evidence-based practice in behavioral health settings

Qualifications
Licensed in the State of Michigan.

Competency to diagnose using the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.
Be able to work in partnership.Implement the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics into practice.
Competency in technology. Insight Associates LLC uses Therapy Notes as a records management system.
Be able to provide an average of 15 clinical hours a week. Be able to complete progress notes within 48 hours of the session.
