Community Home Manager – Residential Programs (Under 18)
Position Type: Full-Time (Exempt)
Salary Range: Depending on experience, education, and credentials
Reports To: Regional Director of Residential Programs
Location: Jacksonville, Florida; Gainesville, FL
Position Summary
The Community Home Manager is responsible for the daily operation of a licensed residential group home serving children and adolescents under the age of 18. This position provides leadership to Residential Coaches, ensures compliance with all licensing and agency standards, maintains a safe and therapeutic home environment, and works collaboratively with the clinical team to promote positive outcomes for every resident.
The Community House Manager serves as the primary leader of the home and is responsible for creating a culture of accountability, consistency, compassion, and excellence.
Essential Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate Residential Coaches.
- Ensure staffing schedules provide appropriate coverage.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and shift debriefings.
- Maintain a structured, trauma-informed, family-like environment.
Resident Care
- Ensure each resident receives individualized support.
- Coordinate admissions, transitions, and discharges.
- Participate in treatment team meetings.
- Assist during behavioral crises when necessary.
Compliance
- Maintain compliance with all Florida licensing requirements and TSI Cares Network policies.
- Ensure accurate documentation and incident reporting.
- Prepare for licensing visits and internal quality assurance reviews.
- Monitor medication administration procedures.
Family & Community Relations
- Maintain positive relationships with case managers, guardians, schools, therapists, and community partners.
- Participate in court staffing and case reviews when requested.
Home Operations
- Oversee food service, housekeeping, transportation, and inventory.
- Ensure the home is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Monitor petty cash and household budgets.
- Coordinate maintenance requests.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in child welfare, residential care, behavioral health, or a similar setting.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
Preferred
- Experience operating a licensed residential group home.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavior management.
- CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certifications.

Physical Requirements

Work Schedule
- Primarily Monday–Friday.
- Flexible schedule to meet program needs.
- Participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
