Position Summary
Bukaty Companies is seeking a Part-Time Client Service Specialist to assist in all aspects of the day-to-day duties associated with servicing new and existing client accounts. This position is 100% in-office and approximately 20 to 25 hours per week.
Essential Functions
- Process on-line enrollments, qualifying event changes and terms in carrier portals, Easy Apps and Employee Navigator. Updating BenefitPoint; logging information as needed and reviewing and summarizing claim reports.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, ACA/Affordable Care Act guidelines and reporting, State Continuation and Cobra guidelines preferred.
- Be able to respond knowledgeably regarding co-pay, deductible and plan summary client questions.
- Knowledge of various insurance carriers and a general understanding of benefit plans/summary descriptions. (Blue Cross, Aetna, United Health Care, Humana, etc.)
- Client and prospect meeting preparation; creating reports, making copies, etc.
- Preparing cold calling lists, sending out emails to prospective clients regarding upcoming meetings and webinars and assisting with thank you cards and various prospect marketing materials.
- Assist Benefit Consultant with notifying and following up with clients regarding compliance tasks per the annual compliance calendar.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education: High school education required, college experience or degree preferred
Experience: Insurance industry related experience highly desired
Specific Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet, highly dependable and proactive professional with strong work ethic and the ability to handle competing tasks efficiently
Licensures: KS/MO Health and Life preferred

Employee must be able to carry out duties working in an open office environment. This position requires the ability to sit at work station, use a computer keyboard & mouse, and read from a computer monitor for an extended period. Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
