Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks accordingly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to accurately process transactions, handle cashing out, and record sales.
- Develop new beverage recipes and craft innovative cocktails to delight guests and keep the menu fresh.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate with management about stock requirements.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs, recognizing signs of intoxication, and managing guest safety effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment, preferably within fine dining or upscale hospitality settings.
- Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, cocktail techniques, wine varieties, brewing processes, and craft beer trends.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
- Experience in food safety practices, food handling procedures, and basic math for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Previous bar management or banquet experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the bar team.
