Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized OFFICE MANAGER/CONTROLLER to lead our financial operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our administrative processes. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and cash management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting standards and maintain adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and other relevant frameworks.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, statements, and analysis to support organizational decision-making and strategic planning.
- Manage budgeting processes, forecast financial performance, and monitor variances to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Supervise the implementation and use of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or other financial management tools to streamline operations.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and account analysis to maintain accurate financial records.
- Lead internal controls related to technical accounting issues, payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and audit preparation.
- Collaborate with teams across departments to improve operational efficiencies while maintaining strict adherence to financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting roles with familiarity in governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, or public accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance standards, IFRS standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Expertise in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms; proficiency in financial software is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in financial report writing, analysis, forecasting, budgeting and cash flow management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating across teams; ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Technical accounting expertise including general ledger reconciliation and account analysis; familiarity with internal controls is preferred.
