Looking for:
PART TIME Weekend Availability Mandatory
2 Year of line cook/kitchen experience is preferred.
Green Tomato Grill is a fast, casual restaurant that specializes in fast, healthy and tasty food. We specialize in gluten-free dining and a customizable menu. Our Line Cooks are responsible for preparing the highest quality food per Green Tomato Grill’s exact specifications. They are responsible for preparing all food orders in a timely manner, accommodating all guest modifications.
JOB FUNCTIONS
● Opens, maintains cleanliness of and closes station
● Stocks station and checks quality of all products
● Prepares all items needed according to recipe during shift
● Follows all safety and sanitation procedures
● Performs opening, on-going, and closing side-work duties
● Follows and understands all company procedures and policies
● Completes training of kitchen tools and appliances before use
● Follows MSDS book for proper guidelines for use of chemicals and sanitation products
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
● Continuous use of hands and arms.
● Continuous reaching, bending, abrupt stopping, stooping, lifting, shaking, stirring, pouring, and carrying.
● Ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time.
● Ability to work in heated or cold temperatures for prolonged periods of time.
● Grasping and fine manipulation use of hands is required
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
● Verbal communication skills
● Basic English reading, comprehension, and communication skills.
● Basic math skills
● Knowledge of weights, measurements, and volumes for cooking procedures.
● Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work effectively within a team.
