About the Role
Sumsion Real Estate is a boutique brokerage in Provo specializing in luxury residential and commercial real estate. We help clients buy, sell, and lease with confidence.
We're looking for a licensed ops professional who wants to own something. Not just complete tasks, but build and maintain the systems that keep high-value transactions moving and clients confident from contract to close. The role is hands-on: part office, part field, and entirely process-driven. If you're the kind of person who spots a gap before it becomes a problem and takes pride in running a tight operation, this is the position for you.
What You'll Do
- Manage client communications on behalf of the team with a structured morning and afternoon check-in cadence
- Assemble pre-listing research packets: MLS history, tax records, comp research, and prospect background
- Enter and maintain all MLS listings: data accuracy, status updates, private remarks, and open house scheduling
- Coordinate photographers, stagers, handymen, and vendors; meet at properties on shoot day
- Install and remove yard signs, riders, and lockboxes at properties
- Prepare properties for open houses, which may include light cleaning, staging coordination, and setup
- Host open houses and support showings as licensed staff (Saturdays, upon request)
- Write first drafts of MLS property descriptions; produce listing brochures, postcards, and appraiser comp packets
- Send weekly seller updates covering leads received, MLS and Zillow performance stats, and marketing status
- Oversee transaction coordinator work from contract to close, tracking contingency deadlines across luxury residential, commercial, and lease transactions
- Handle day-to-day client communication using approved templates; make price reduction calls to active buyers
- Update the marketing website on listing launches and price changes
- CRM maintenance, filing, office supplies, and general administrative support
Your Setup
Private window office, fully furnished. Office is in Eastbay, Provo in the Novell/OpenText office building. You provide your own laptop. Mileage reimbursed at $0.60/mile for non-commute driving, paid bi-weekly.
Schedule
Core office hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Phone availability is expected from 7am to 10pm for time-sensitive communications. Saturday availability is required on an as-needed basis for open houses and showings. Sunday work is rare and will not typically involve communication or assigned tasks from leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Active Utah real estate license, required
- 2+ years working inside a real estate brokerage
- Familiar with the full transaction process, list to close
- Comfortable working from checklists and helping refine them over time
- At ease with technology: MLS, GoHighLevel, Notion, Canva, social media and AI tools
- Professional and polished with clients, approachable in day-to-day work
- Emotionally intelligent and discreet, knows when to act and when to escalate
- Service-oriented without needing to be the center of it
- Communicates proactively and keeps the team informed without being asked
- Comfortable with field work alongside office responsibilities; this role moves between the desk and the property
Compensation and Time Off
- $75,000 base salary, paid bi-weekly
- Weekend field work (open houses, showings, sign installation, and similar on-site tasks): $20/hour, Saturday and Sunday; Sunday is rare
- Weekend computer or administrative work falls within the scope of the base salary
- Mileage reimbursement: $0.60/mile (non-commute), paid bi-weekly
- 10 PTO days annually, accrued throughout the year, grows to 14 days after your first year
- Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
PTO and holidays are yours with no phone or expectations. The one exception: if an urgent email comes in that leadership hasn't been copied on, a quick forward is appreciated.
About Sumsion Real Estate
Sumsion Real Estate has been serving the Utah County community for over eight years. It started with Matt Sumsion building a real estate practice from the ground up and has grown into a boutique brokerage with a specialization in luxury residential and commercial properties.
The team is run by two brothers, Matt and Mark. Matt leads sales and client relationships. Mark runs operations. They're entrepreneurs at heart, people who work hard, take their commitments seriously, and genuinely care about the value they deliver to every client. That attitude shapes how the team operates.
We're a small team with real momentum and we're looking for someone who fits that culture, someone who takes pride in their work, shows up prepared, and wants to be part of something that's still being built. This role has room to grow into a larger capacity over time for the right person.
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
