Maintenance Technician
We are seeking candidates in the northern area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and other essential equipment. Fix broken or damaged fixtures, such as doors, windows, and lighting.
- Preventive Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance checks and preventive measures to reduce wear and tear and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Be proficient in troubleshooting to find quick and appropriate solutions to emergency calls.
- Safety Inspections: Regularly inspect facilities and equipment for safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Painting and Carpentry: Perform basic painting, patching, and carpentry tasks as needed for repairs or aesthetic improvements.
- Cleaning and Organization: Keep facilities, storage areas, and workspaces clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Record Keeping: Document completed maintenance tasks, inspections, repairs, and inventory of tools and supplies in maintenance connection (CMMS).
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, petroleum equipment and mechanical systems to include C-store equipment, coolers, freezers and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Proficient in using CMMS systems to document maintenance actions and inspections.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background in electrical is preferred
- Previous experience in petroleum maintenance or facilities role preferred
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and work in various conditions
- Weekend work is required on a rotating schedule with the other techs
