About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant who thinks critically, takes initiative, and genuinely enjoys caring for patients.
This is a cross trained position designed for someone who is comfortable supporting both front and back office responsibilities. The ideal candidate is adaptable, resourceful, and understands that outstanding patient care often means stepping in wherever help is needed.
You will often be one of the first people our patients interact with while helping ensure that both our clinical and administrative operations run smoothly.
What You'll Do
Patient Experience & Front Office Responsibilities
- Welcome patients warmly and create a positive first impression
- Answer phones professionally and respond to patient inquiries promptly
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow up care
- Manage emails and patient communication
- Guide patients through services, memberships, and scheduling
- Process payments and maintain accurate patient records
- Verify insurance benefits and assist with administrative workflows
- Help maintain an organized, polished, and patient ready environment
Clinical & Back Office Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies
- Perform EKGs and other clinical duties within scope of practice
- Support physicians with clinical workflows and procedures
- Coordinate laboratory testing and specimen handling
- Assist with patient education and follow up instructions
- Support patient flow and help wherever needed
What We're Looking For
- Certified Medical Assistant required
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required
- Two or more years of experience strongly preferred
- Experience in internal medicine, primary care, concierge medicine, wellness, or similar outpatient settings preferred
- Phlebotomy experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and resourceful in a fast paced environment
- Self motivated with strong judgment and initiative
- Positive attitude and team oriented mindset
- Willingness to support both front and back office responsibilities
Compensation & Perks
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated proficiency.
A 90 day introductory period applies to all new hires. Compensation and growth opportunities will be reviewed upon successful completion of training and probation.
Performance bonuses and incentives available.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to approximately 5:00 PM. While most days conclude around 5:00 PM, end times may occasionally vary based on patient care and daily practice operations.
The practice is open two Saturdays per month. Saturday shifts are not part of the introductory and training period. Following successful completion of probation and full integration into the role, occasional Saturday coverage opportunities may become available based on practice needs and employee availability.
