Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced truck driver to operate our late-model automatic dump truck. This is a full-time, year-round position with ample opportunity for overtime. If you are a safety-conscious individual with a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials such as sand, gravel, and asphalt to and from various job sites.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe and optimal working condition. This includes checking fluid levels, tires, and lights.
- Supervise the loading of materials to ensure they are loaded correctly and do not exceed weight limits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and delivery records.
- Promptly report any accidents, injuries, or mechanical issues to management.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including those specific to construction sites and roadways.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B.
- Proven experience operating a dump truck.
- A clean driving record is required.
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
