Utilizes the job scope of medical assisting to effectively assess and provide appropriate care to patients in the offices of Michigan Vascular Center.
Essential Functions:

Follows Michigan Vascular Center’s policies and procedures, including HR and accreditation
- Incorporates Michigan Vascular Center’s Mission and Vision into daily practice

Demonstrates primary focus of customer service for internal and external customers.

Demonstrates accuracy, completeness, clarity, and conciseness in oral and written communication.

Works to achieve accuracy in an organized and timely manner
Specific Functions, per location:
-
Assists with turn-over of procedure rooms and consents patients as needed

Assists with the monitoring of post procedural patients under RNs guidance
-
Completes patient office visits by updating H&P’s, ROS, Med lists, reports abnormal findings appropriately
- Within their scope of practice, responds to emergency situations in the office and provides care, until emergency response team assumes care, or situation is resolved. Completes incident reports as necessary.

Able to fill in and assist at the front desk scheduling patients, check in / out patients, etc

Treatments, wound care, and suture/staple removal as directed by provider
Educational Preferences:
BLS certification – Required
Graduate
Physical Requirements:

Physical ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day, stoop, lift, reach, and perform other repetitive movements

Possess the physical ability and perceptive acuity (vision and hearing) to perform all direct and indirect care functions of Accredited Medical Assistant Program
