Job Title: Clean Line Operator
Department: Quality
Reports To: Lab Manager
Summary:
The Clean Line Operator processes parts and materials through the clean line, ensuring parts have been cleaned properly and meet Jedco and customer requirements. Alkaline cleaning is designed to remove shop soils, light debris, and dust, etc. to ensure part cleanliness prior to acid clean or the next operation. Acid cleaning of titanium removes alpha case/surface contamination either as an end use operation or prior to heat treat, FPI, or weld operations. Acid cleaning of aluminum removes the oxide layer to achieve an active surface prior to welding.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Perform system capability checks in accordance with applicable process procedures.
· Measure parts/coupons with micrometer, caliper, analytic balance, and other measuring devices.
· Responsible for ensuring that part count, router and operation sketches are verified to the requirements of the Standard Manufacturing Guidelines WIS 107A.
· Read and follow op sketch/router instructions.
· Process parts and hardware through the clean line as required by the router in accordance with standard work process, work instructions, routers, and op sketches.
· Ability to accurately fill out records, forms, routers, etc.
· Routine maintenance of area including mopping floor, cleaning counters and workspaces, etc. and record in department 6S sheet.
· Notify supervisor or submit maintenance work requests as applicable.
· Submit ENCR's as applicable.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Must have excellent communication and organizational skills aligned with essential duties and responsibilities.
· Ability/capability to use micrometer and other measuring devices.
· Accurately and legibly record and report data.
· Basic math skills.
· Ability to read and follow op sketches.
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience:
· Must be able to communicate fluently in English (read, write, verbal).
· High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum) is required.
· Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and averaging is required.
· Use of micrometer/caliper preferred.
· HazMat training.
· Experience in Quality/Manufacturing is preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with basic computer skills is preferred.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to lift a maximum of 60 lbs.
· Ability to pass yearly vision examination.
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
· Ability to assist with tank additions, dumps, and refills requiring wearing HazMat gear and moving drums of chemicals.
