What You'll Do
As a Patient Access Coordinator, you'll help create an outstanding patient experience by:
- Greeting patients with professionalism and compassion
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating provider calendars
- Checking patients in and out efficiently
- Verifying insurance and collecting demographic information
- Answering incoming phone calls and assisting with patient inquiries
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Collecting copays and processing payments
- Collaborating with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Protecting patient confidentiality and following HIPAA guidelines
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0–1 year of customer service or healthcare experience welcome
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and learning electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office
- Positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping others
